STEM Education and Outreach will take on several high school research interns to complete research projects in mathematics for the 2022-2023 school year, under the direction of Dr. Ashley White.

Students will begin with a month long reading period in July 2022, then beginning in August students will select a research topic, and meet bi-weekly with Dr. White to discuss their progress.

Students that make sufficient progress on their research projects will have the opportunity to present their findings at local and national research presentations, science fairs, and competitions.

The internship is offered at no cost to the student, but small contributions for travel and accommodations may required if the student is to attend long distance conferences. Some funding assistance will be available for travel.

Applications for the 2022-2023 school year are now closed. If you are interested in applying in the future, please fill out the interest form below and we will send you the 2023-2024 application when it is available.
